Frequently Asked Questions:
- When can I move in? TODAY! If a storage space is available, you can move in immediately! Simply stop by the office to complete the rental process, which usually takes approx. 15 minutes. Call (785)539-0266 or email to check availability today!
- Do I need to sign a long-term lease? No, we have a standard Month to Month lease.
- Are there any additional fees? Yes, we have a onetime Refund-able Security Deposit. This is refunded when you close out your space as long as the unit is Swept out with a broom, the door shut, lock removed, and your Access Pass (if applicable) is Returned.
- Does someone have to be in the office to let me through the security gates? No. If renting in our "South" facility you will be given an access pass when you rent your space, which allows you 24 hour access to the facility. If renting in our "North" facility you have access 7 days a week, from 7am-9pm.
- Can I just stop by to view the facility/ storage spaces? Do I need an appointment? If you prefer to examine a unit prior to renting, you are welcome to stop by during office hours or call to make an appointment. We would be glad to help you determine what size would best fit your needs.
- Do I need to bring my own lock? Locks are available for sale at our office, in addition to other storage merchandise such as mattress bags, dust covers, etc.. We do not provide one with the rental.
- How much notice needs to be given before I move out? While the lease stipulates one month's notice before you move out, we are flexible on this if your circumstances are extreme or you are military.
- Will I get my deposit back? Yes! Your deposit is refunded when you close out your space as long as your unit is SWEPT OUT WITH A BROOM, and your ACCESS PASS IS RETURNED.
- Are there any items that I am NOT allowed to store? Most of this would fall under common sense. The main issues would be explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials, living things, food items/ perishables, items that are infested with bugs or mice, etc. Please contact us if you have any questions about a specific item. Our goal is simply to make storing safe for all customers, while limiting risks of leaks, fire, explosion, and pest infestation.
- What are the hours of operation? Our typical office hours are Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm. The "South" facility is open 24 hours a day with your access pass and our "North" facility is open 7am-9pm- no pass required.

Are you New to Storage? Here are a few tips to get you started:
- Plan your storage space. Place those items that you may need to access often in the front. Allow for walkways.
- Create an inventory of your items and keep it in a safe place at home or in a safe deposit box.
- List contents of boxes on all four sides; number the boxes and seal with tape.
- Place a protective cover- such as plastic sheeting or pallets on the floor under cardboard boxes to guard against dampness. Any concrete floor may become cold and damp.
- CAUTION! Do not store anything COMBUSTIBLE (i.e., paint thinner, gasoline, solvents, paint, etc.)
- Cover stuffed furniture with a dust cover, cardboard or blankets to protect against dust.
- Stack lighter boxes on top of heavier boxes.
- Wrap dishes and glasses in paper and pack in sturdy boxes. Be sure to stack them on top.
- Wrap pictures and mirrors in cardboard and mark “FRAGILE.” Stand them on end.
- Utilize furniture with drawers as storage places for pictures, knick-knacks, china, silverware, small items, etc. Wrap them in tablecloths, towels or blankets to prevent breakage.
- Utilize larger appliances as “packing cases” for blankets, towels, tablecloths and clothes.
- Store shovels, hoes, rakes and hoses together in empty trash cans. Stack extra cans inside each other.
- Remove legs of tables if possible to save space.
- Store sofas and love seats on end to save floor space. Wrap cushions in plastic and place on top.
- Store mattresses in "Mattress Bag", cover with sheets, or plastic to keep clean and protect against dust.
- If you stand mattresses on their sides, prop them up so they stand straight. They may otherwise bend out of shape and become lumpy.
- Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on top of upholstered furniture.
- Use a good quality lock on your door. Locks are available in the office, if needed.
- To prevent bug infestation and rodents, do not store food or food items, and make sure that everything is clean and free of food particles.
- Place TV's, electronics and other valuables in the rear of your unit
